They operate out of foster homes and all animals taken in live in a foster home until an appropriate adoptive home is found. The home was founded in 1990 with the help of Jim and Gail Nealon after the passing of their 16-year-old daughter Jennifer. The Nealon's committed themselves to establishing a local residence where those with an end-stage illness could receive dignified comfort care in a home like setting.

DIMITRI'S STORY
IN HONOR OF DIMITRI MAMCZUR
Dimitri House was founded in honor of Dimitri Mamczur, a local man who lived in two taped-together cardboard boxes under an expressway bridge on I-590 in Rochester. On a cold, rainy night in 1985, Dimitri was walking back to his humble shelter when he was hit by a car. Sadly, he passed away two weeks later.
More than 150 people attended Dimitri’s funeral to say goodbye and celebrate his life. People who knew him shared stories about his generosity and friendship. Many were touched by Dimitri’s story and made a commitment to do more for the homeless and underserved in Rochester.

Long Acre Farms - JD Wine Cellars
Wine Wednesdays are back again with food offerings and occasional events!!! Food service begins at 5:30pm, music starts at 6pm. These are free and family-friendly!
Tasting room hours will be extended to 8PM every Wednesday starting in June 25th. Grab your friends, family and neighbors and enjoy some wine on our patio deck and dinner with us! Food service is from 5:30-7pm or until sold out.
Happy Hour in the tasting room is from 4:30-7:30 - save $1 off glasses of wine, beer, cider and slushies!
A rocking chairs + a glass of wine is a perfect way to wine down your day. Winery is open until 8pm, but you are more than welcome to hang outdoors with your glass until the farm closes around 9pm.

This year’s stroll along Park will include local artisans and showcase the uniqueness of the avenue. There will be fun activities and events for all!
Restaurants, retail establishments and services on the avenue will be featured. Artist vendors will be located on the RMSC grounds (accessible from Park Avenue). Enjoy children’s activities along the avenue and listen to live music throughout the day at the park Avenue Green) corner of Park and Barrington streets.
