FAQs

  • Nope! Ember & Co. is just me—Maggie :) I built this little biz from the ground up right here in Rochester, NY. Every pop-up, every bracelet, every detail is something I’ve poured my heart into. Not a Franchise, Not a starter kit. You're not supporting a big chain—you’re supporting a real human with big dreams, and I’m seriously so grateful you’re here.

  • I don’t offer any training, mentorship, or coaching. Ember & Co. is something I’ve built from scratch through a lot of trial, error, and hard work. I’ve poured years of energy into developing my systems, my brand, and my process—and right now, I’m choosing to protect that. I truly believe there’s room for everyone to carve their own path, just like I did.

  • I carry a forever-rotating inventory based on supply and demand, so my chain selection changes almost daily! Because of this, I don't offer a catalog. The best (and only) way to see what’s currently available is to stop by one of my events — selections are always first come, first served!

  • For safety reasons, permanent jewelry is only available to individuals age 7 and up. All minors (under 18) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who must provide written consent at the time of service.
We do not offer permanent jewelry for infants or toddlers under any circumstances.

  • Permanent jewelry is a custom-fitted bracelet, anklet, or necklace that is welded together with a jump ring instead of having a clasp. It’s simply a continuous chain that you wear until you decide to remove it. It’s a stylish, low-maintenance way to wear jewelry that symbolizes connections, milestones, or personal expression. While it’s durable, it’s not indestructible, and if needed, it can be safely removed with scissors!

  • Head over to my “Events” tab! At the bottom of that page, will be a request form for private events/parties!

  • All of my chains are tarnish-resistant. However, like all jewelry, your chains may need a little TLC—harsh chemicals (like chlorine or certain lotions) can certainly dull its shine over time. Treat it well, and it’ll keep sparkling for the long haul!

  • Not at all! It’s a tiny, quick zap that only fuses the metal—nothing touches your skin. It’s over in seconds, and no, it doesn’t hurt.

  • Hospitals have dealt with irremovable jewelry before! Most hospitals will just tape over it, but if they require you to take it off, it’s as simple as cutting it at the circle jumpring and coming back for a FREE re-weld. No big deal—just let me know when you’re ready to put it back on!

  • At Ember and Co., we’re honored to create jewelry that holds meaning and memories. While it’s rare for your chain to break, we’re happy to offer free rewelds and sizing adjustments if it happens! That said, we’re unable to replace or repair chains that are lost or too damaged to fix.

Our jewelry is called permanent because it’s clasp-free, but that doesn’t mean it’s indestructible. Its longevity depends on how lovingly it’s cared for. With a little TLC, your chain can stay with you for years to come. 💖

Thank you for trusting us to be part of your story—it means the world to me!

  • Absolutely! Your bracelet can handle showers, pools, workouts. Just avoid harsh unbalanced chemicals like chlorine and sulfates to keep it looking its best. Otherwise, live your life—your jewelry is coming with you!

  • 1. Regular Cleaning Routine

    • Soap and Water: Use mild, fragrance-free soap with warm water. (Dawn dish soap works great)!

    • Soft Brush: Gently scrub the jewelry with a soft toothbrush to remove dirt, especially around the links.

    • Rinse & Dry: Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.

    2. Polish with a Jewelry Cloth

    • Use a jewelry polishing cloth to bring back the shine. This is especially effective for gold and silver chains.

    3. Avoid Harsh Chemicals

    • Keep your jewelry away from chlorine, perfumes, cleaning products, and hairsprays, as these can cause dullness.

    • When swimming in pools or using cleaning products, try to minimize direct contact to prolong the metal’s quality.

    4. Deep Cleaning (if needed)

    • For stubborn tarnish, clean the jewelry in a solution of 1 part baking soda + 1 part water for a few minutes, then gently brush with a toothbrush.

By following these simple tips, your permanent jewelry from Ember and Co. will continue to shine and stay beautiful, reflecting individuality and elegance over time!

  • Absolutely not! The jewelry sits on your skin, just like a regular bracelet—there’s no piercing, no needles, and definitely no welding your body. It’s just a seamless, clasp-free piece of jewelry that stays on until you decide to remove it!

  • Our Jewelry while referred to as "Permanent," is not guaranteed to last a lifetime. The durability of each piece will depend on factors such as chain type, lifestyle, wear and tear, etc. Therefore, we cannot promise that the jewelry will last for a specific period of time.

  • Please be aware that we do NOT replace items that break into multiple pieces. However, if your item breaks at the jump ring / chain resulting in a single clean break, we will reattach it for you at no cost. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to handle your jewelry with care.

  • While our Gold Filled and Sterling Silver jewelry is designed to be tarnish - resistant, it is not 100% tarnish - proof (just like most metals used to make jewelry). Exposure to certain elements and environments may still cause tarnishing over time. By purchasing your jewelry, you acknowledge this characteristic and agree to follow proper care guidelines to maintain the appearance and longevity of your piece.

  • Please note that all purchases of our permanent jewelry are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges under any circumstances. We are not responsible for any lost jewelry.
